Master the local cuisine

It will not take you long to realise that food is taken very seriously in Sifnos. Traditional dishes like the chickpea soup “revithada” or the chickpea aromatic balls are simple, prepared with fresh ingredients and are delicious! You will easily fall in love with this cuisine that takes you back to basic, unassuming gastronomic pleasures and you will definitely want to be able to recreate these fabulous tastes on your own.

      Imagine combining a culinary class with some time in a farm on Sifnos. You will walk around and collect yourself the fresh produce you will use to prepare the dishes you will savour after the class. You will cook in good company over a glass of local dry white wine or sweet sun-dried red wine. And then you will sit down and enjoy a true Sifnian meal – fresh, healthy, extremely tasteful.

      Let’s whet your appetite!

      You have two options: you can take your cooking class in the morning and prepare lunch or in the afternoon and prepare dinner.

      Morning class (9 am-2 pm)
      Arrive at the farm at 9 am and assist in the preparation of a hearty breakfast: Sifnos honey, homemade jam, homemade cheese and eggs from the farm’s free range chicken. Discuss the day’s menu and get out to collect the necessary produce. Preparation of lunch that includes: two salads, two starters and two main courses. Lunch is served accompanied by a selection of local dry white wine or sweet sun-dried red wine. For dessert a selection of fresh fruit in season – watermelon, melon, pears, apricots, damsons.

      Group class – Price/person: From 90 €
      Private class – Price/person: From 110 €

      Afternoon class (5:30 pm-9:30 pm)
      Arrive at the farm and start planning the dinner. Walk in the farm to collect the necessary for the dishes produce. Preparation of dinner that includes: two salads, two starters and two main courses. Dinner is served accompanied by a selection of local dry white wine or sweet sun-dried red wine. For dessert a selection of fresh fruit in season – watermelon, melon, pears, apricots, damsons.

      Group class – Price/person: From 70 €
      Private class – Price/person: From 90 €
